Privacy
Updated 20 October 2026.
This page covers two things: this website, and what the MSaving software itself sends anywhere. MSaving servers are installed and run by their own operators, for themselves or a private group. The project has no access to them and collects nothing from them: what you put into a MSaving server stays on that server, and whoever runs it is responsible for it and for the people who use it.
This website uses no cookies, no analytics, no forms, and no scripts, fonts or images from other sites. It doesn't ask for or store any personal data.
The website is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles each visit's IP address and browser details to deliver the page and protect it from abuse, and your browser may send Cloudflare a short error report if a page fails to load. This happens under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. The project doesn't turn on request logs and only sees Cloudflare's overall visit counts, with no details about who visited.
Links to GitHub (the source code, issues) take you to GitHub, where GitHub's privacy policy applies.
A MSaving server contacts a few outside services, and sends them no data about its users: GitHub, to check for a newer release when the admin opens the admin page (at most every 6 hours, and the operator can turn it off); and once a day an exchange rate service (open.er-api.com, or currency-api through jsDelivr or Cloudflare Pages if that fails, or Open Exchange Rates if the operator set their own key). Those services see the server's IP address, as with any request. Installing or updating a server also downloads the code and its building blocks from GitHub and public software registries.
If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
Questions: open an issue on the project's GitHub page. For a security problem, use GitHub's private security advisories on the same page instead.
